As of this writing, geting an account at Twitter, they don't charge anything to join. Twitter has become very popular through out the recent years. Many, many people go on Twitter daily. Lots of people communicate through there. Also lots of people go there for business purposes of trying to obtain followers.
One way of obtaining followers is to type in the keyword of the people that you are interested in as a possible follower. Then simply follow people with the keyword of interest. Some people may then follow you back, but then again people may not follow you back. Remember to not to follow too many people there in a given day, because of a possibility of getting you account banned for following to many people in a day.
Another possible way to getting followers is by daily twittering unique, quality content. But then again, you may not get any followers doing that too.
